Fans are Back! 2021 Sanderson Farms Championship to Host Spectators

Century Club Charities announced today the Sanderson Farms Championship will be hosting spectators at the 2021 tournament, scheduled to be played September 27–October 3.
Sponsor hospitality venues will be open, general spectators will be allowed onsite for the first time since the 2019 tournament.
“We’re excited to welcome back our fans to the Sanderson Farms Championship,” said Steve Jent, Executive Director. “Last year we really missed the energy our spectators create, and I’m certain this year’s field will once again be one of the best we’ve hosted. We will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 very closely, and our planning is guided with the health and safety of everyone involved in the tournament as our highest priority.”
All efforts are focused on giving the fans an incredible and meaningful experience in a safe environment. Last year’s tournament was closed to the public due to the pandemic.
“We are back and look forward to your being part of what is sure to be an exciting week with 144 of the PGA’s TOUR best professional golfers competing in the Sanderson Farms Championship,” said Pat Busby, President of Century Club Charities. “The total stand-alone event purse has increased to $7 million in 2021; and coupled with a Masters Tournament invitation and 500 FedExCup points, the schedule provides a fantastic opportunity for players to get off to a fast start in the 2021-22 FedExCup. Despite the difficult decision to play the 2020 tournament without spectators due to COVID-19-related precautions, Century Club Charities remains committed to helping Mississippi charities that depend on the tournament to support their annual operations in 2021.”
All tickets will once again be digital this year and all on-site transactions will be contactless.
Century Club Charities donated more than $1.7 million from the 2020 Sanderson Farms Championship, raising the all-time charitable proceeds from the tournament to over $19 million. Net proceeds from the tournament benefit Children’s of Mississippi through an annual gift to Friends of Children’s Hospital, as well as over 50 other Mississippi charities.
