Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company joins Sanderson Farms Championship as New Tournament Partner

Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company will serve as the SFC 2019 Official Volunteer Sponsor

JACKSON, Miss. (June 24, 2019) –The Sanderson Farms Championship announced today that Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company has signed on as a Tournament Partner and Official Volunteer Sponsor for the PGA TOUR event. The Sanderson Farms Championship will be held at The Country Club of Jackson, September 16-22, 2019.

Since 1994, Century Club Charities has served as the host organization for the event that in 2018 created a charitable impact of over $2.25 million for Mississippi charities. Now in its 52nd year, Mississippi’s largest professional sporting event has raised over $15 million for charity, primarily Friends of Children’s Hospital, a non-profit organization created to support Batson Children’s Hospital, part of Children’s of Mississippi.

“Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company is thrilled to be Sanderson Farms Championship’s newest Tournament Partner,” said David Hurt, Senior VP, Marketing, Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company. “As the Championship’s Volunteer Sponsor, our employees will relish the hands-on opportunity to make a difference for Mississippi and our children in need.”

“We are very excited to welcome Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company to the lineup of stellar partnerships we have formed over the years,” said Steve Jent, executive director of the Sanderson Farms Championship. “Their commitment as the Championship’s Official Volunteer Sponsor is crucial in making this event possible. Our volunteers are of utmost importance to us, and our goal is to make sure their experience is the best year after year.”

The Sanderson Farms Championship needs 1,000+ volunteers each year to serve in a variety of positions. Many statewide companies provide a large number of the tournament’s volunteers by sponsoring their employees as volunteer groups. Individual volunteer opportunities are available for those 15 and older. In order to reserve a spot on their preferred committee, those interested are encouraged to sign up early.
