Volunteer registration opens for the 2015 Sanderson Farms Championship

Volunteer registration for the 2015 Sanderson Farms Championship officially opens May 1, 2015. Individuals who are interested in volunteering for the tournament should visit www.sandersonfarmschampionship.com to register. The tournament will take place November 2-8, 2015 at The Country Club of Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi.

The Sanderson Farms Championship offers a unique volunteer experience. Volunteer opportunities range from being an ambassador in hospitality suites, to serving as a marshal and ShotLink operator inside the ropes or walking the course as a caddie or standard bearer. Details of each volunteer opportunity can be found on the Sanderson Farms Championship website under Volunteer Opportunities. Opportunities are available to kids as young as 15 years old through college age, adults, and seniors. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up early to reserve their preferred committee. For more information on volunteer opportunities, call the Sanderson Farms Championship office at 601- 898-4653 or e-mail Diana@sandersonfarmschampionship.com.
Tournament Director Steve Jent expressed the importance of volunteers saying, “Our volunteers are the heart and soul of the tournament. We are very thankful that so many groups and individuals volunteer in order to make our PGA TOUR event the best it can be.”

Each volunteer will receive a volunteer package including a Sanderson Farms Championship logoed golf shirt and hat, two weekly credentials, opportunity to play a round at the Country Club of Jackson, food and beverage during volunteer shifts and invitations to volunteer-only events. The volunteer package is valued at $300 but thanks to Sanderson Farms and supportive sponsors, volunteers pay only a $45 fee. In addition, Sanderson Farms will be giving volunteers a lightweight Sanderson Farms Championship outerwear piece. “With the uncertainty of Mississippi’s weather in November, we want to make sure our volunteers are well taken care of in every condition,” said Hilary Burroughs, Director of Marketing at Sanderson Farms.
